💼📋 Save the Date for our Job Fair!

Dear Neighbor,

During these particularly challenging economic times, numerous constituents have contacted our office seeking assistance as they contend with the rising costs of living and a changing job market. We remain committed to do what we can to uplift opportunities for stable, meaningful employment that provides livable wages.

In collaboration with Northwest side electeds and the Illinois Department of Employment Security, my office is hosting a Job Fair at Kilbourn Park, 3501 N Kilbourn Ave., on Friday, December 5 from 10am to 1pm. The fair will feature representatives from a variety of government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private sector employers with open positions. There will also be community organizations offering interview coaching and resume assistance.

Employers wishing to reserve a space at the fair can contact my office at (773) 853-2570.

If you are a job seeker needing support with your resume prior to the fair, please reach out to the American Job Center at (773) 334-4747.

Hope to see you then,

Will

Get Covered Illinois Healthcare Enrollment

Open Enrollment on the ACA Health Insurance Marketplace started on November 1, and the deadline to enroll for healthcare coverage at the start of 2026 is December 15.

Stop by our district office on Tuesdays, December 2 and 9 from 12 to 4pm to chat with a Healthcare Navigator from Get Covered Illinois! They can help with checking your eligibility for a healthcare plan, comparing plans if you are considering changing your current plan for 2026, and creating an account to enroll in coverage.

Participatory Budgeting in 35th Ward

The resident voting phase for Participatory Budgeting in the 35th Ward is now open until November 30! 35th Ward residents, ages 14 and older, regardless of voting or immigration status, can vote.

This past summer, over 180 infrastructure improvement ideas for repairing sidewalks, resurfacing streets or alleys, adding bike lanes, and more were submitted to the 35th Ward. Now Alderman Quezada’s office wants to hear from ward residents about how they should prioritize over $1 million in funds. Vote here at bit.ly/pb352026.
