Do you know a high school or college student in the 39th District who is passionate about making a difference in our neighborhoods, who is interested in government, policy, and community organizing? I’m excited to share an upcoming opportunity with our office for the summer—we’re looking for a Community Outreach Intern from June 10 through August 17!
The Community Outreach Intern will play a pivotal role in connecting with community members and organizations, attending various events and meetings throughout the district, assisting with event planning, neighborhood canvassing, and collaborating with our district office staff on various outreach initiatives.

Know Your Rights Workshop
On Thursday, April 11, the offices of Cook County Commissioner Anthony Quezada and the Cook County Public Defender and Onward House are co-hosting a Know Your Rights Workshop in Spanish for our immigrant neighbors and new arrivals. Learn about Illinois law and how criminal arrests affect the ability to stay in the U.S. and obtain legal immigration status. Join us at 12pm at Northwest Community Church, 5318 W Diversey Ave.

West Side Story Auditions
The Kilbourn Park Playhouse and Underdog Theater Company are putting on a production of the Broadway classic, West Side Story this August. Auditions will be on Friday, April 12 from 6pm to 9pm and Saturday, April 13, from 11am to 3pm at 3501 N Kilbourn Ave.
