UPAC TO KICK OFF 2021 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS WITH A COMMUNITY WIDE EASTER EGG SCAVENGER HUNT

CHICAGO -- Unity Park Advisory Council (UPAC) is teaming up with Grace Church for a CommUNITY EASTER EGG SCAVENGER HUNT.

From March 25th Through April 2nd, children can hunt for Easter Eggs placed in the windows of local businesses and search for other items on our scavenger hunt list. Scavenger hunt lists will be available to download on the UPAC website beginning Monday March 22nd. In addition, lists will be available at several locations including:

Unity Park Little Library

2636 N Kimball

Park hours are 6am - 11pm

List will also be posted in the Park kiosk

Logan Square Chamber of Commerce

2808 N Milwaukee Ave

(During office hours)

More locations will be announced in the next few weeks.

Then On Saturday, April 3rd, from 10AM-1PM participants can bring their lists of found items to Unity Park, 2636 N Kimball and exchange it for a special Easter treat bag with goodies & prizes. (While supplies last!)

There will also be a special appearance by the Easter bunny! NOTE: There will be no on site Easter egg hunt on the 3rd at either Unity or Grace. Event will be treat bag pick up ONLY!

We ask that safety guidelines including social distancing and mask wearing be observed while picking up the treat bags to keep the event safe for all participants.

In event of rain or snow, list turn in will be held at Grace Church, 3225 W Wrightwood. The event is FREE and UPAC is seeking sponsors to help support the event. Sponsorship opportunities range from $10 - $100 for business/organizations. Monies raised will help cover the cost of the event & help support UPAC free programming. To sponsor, contact Beth Juarez, UPAC Co-Director of Developent at: juarez@bbbschicago.org by Friday, March 12th.

"Last year UPAC had to cancel our Unity Park Easter Egg Hunt but this year it's back in a fun new and SAFE way that will also help support local businesses who have been impacted by the pandemic. We want to create an opportunity for families to experience the event in an expanded community setting and highlight our wonderful and supportive community." stated UPAC's Robert Castillo.
