Grace was born and raised in Logan Square by two Chicago Public School teachers. Prior to becoming Chief of Staff, she interned at the 35th Ward Office and was a Disaster Anthropology researcher for the National Science Foundation in Houston post-Harvey. Grace majored in Anthropology and quadruple minored in Spanish Language, Marketing, Political Science and Latino Studies at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She joined Representative Guzzardi’s team in September 2019. The issues closest to Grace are educational equity, reproductive health/rights, climate justice, and youth mental health.
Josec lives in Avondale neighborhood, and prior to becoming a our Legislative Aid, Josec was an outreach intern for United States Senator Tammy Duckworth. Josec joined Representative Guzzardi’s District Office team in June 2019. Some of the things Josec is most passionate about are immigration policy, foreign policy, and national security. As a legislative aid in Representative Guzzardi’s District office, his job is to manage the casework load of constituents seeking assistance from our office and manage our office's community outreach program.
