FREE Shredding and Recycling Day on May 11! 📄♻️

Dear Neighbor,

While Earth Month has passed, Springtime in Chicago prompts us to reflect on ways we can actively care for our environment by reusing, reducing, and recycling household items that might otherwise be discarded in landfills. Each year, my office partners with local elected officials on efforts to provide free recycling services for our communities.

On Saturday, May 11, we're looking forward to joining Rep. Jaime Andrade, Cook County Sheriff’s office, and other neighboring elected officials for a FREE Paper Shredding, Electronics Recycling, and Prescription Take Back Event! We’ll be there from 9am to 11:30am (or until trucks reach capacity) at NEIU El Centro, 3390 N Avondale Ave.

Some guidelines on allowed and prohibited items for each service:

Paper Shredding
Please remove all paper clips, staples, and other bindings that could obstruct the shredder. Collection will be until shredding trucks reach capacity.

Electronics Recycling
