💪👷 Happy Labor Day: Celebrating Workers & Sharing Opportunities

Dear Neighbor,

On Labor Day, we honor the labor movement—generations of workers who have fought for rights, respect, and dignity on the job, and we reflect on the ongoing fights of workers across the world.

Recently, I joined nurses with National Nurses United at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital, where seven nurses were fired in what they believe was anti-union retaliation connected to their efforts to organize and advocate for better working conditions. I stand in solidarity with our healthcare workers and all workers who exercise their fundamental right to organize and collectively bargain.

At a time when so many are feeling the pressure of rising costs and a challenging job market, we understand that securing stable, meaningful work with livable wages and dignity on the job is essential. My office has heard from many constituents who are navigating these challenges, and we want to make sure our community knows that support and opportunities are available.

With that in mind, this Labor Day newsletter includes current employment opportunities from a variety of government agencies and local organizations. I hope these resources are helpful to those who are looking for their next opportunity.
