🍁🧡 Grateful for a Successful Health Fair—Thank You for Joining Us!

Dear Neighbor,

Last weekend, my office hosted our annual Fall Family Health Fair, bringing together neighbors and community organizations for a day of health, wellness, and fun. We partnered with Congresswoman Delia Ramirez, State Sen. Graciela Guzman, Alderman Anthony Quezada, and the Kosciuszko Park Advisory Council for a wonderful event.

A big thank you to our partners at Walgreens and Family Urgent Care for providing flu, COVID, and RSV vaccinations, and to Centro San Bonifacio and the National Association of Hispanic Nurses, who were on hand to offer blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol checks. We were also grateful for UofC’s Care2Prevent, Mobile Care Chicago, and Advocate Health Care for bringing their health mobile vans for further health screenings.

Through our partnership with the Zakat Foundation, we distributed 100 boxes of groceries to families. Local business, Epic Studio Barbers joined us, offering free haircuts to kids. And we had a variety of fun activities at the park, including a balloon artist, a button-making station with the Portage-Cragin Library, and a puppet photo booth.

Additionally, nearly 40 community organizations and neighboring elected offices joined us to offer health services, resources, and giveaways.

Thank you to all the community organizations, elected officials, and volunteers who made this year’s health fair such a success! Thank you to Northwest Center and DoorDash for fueling our volunteers, as well. And thank you for preparing for the colder months with us!

All my best,

Will
