Executive Orders & Reopening Information

Chicago Reopening Information:

Chicago is currently in Phase 5 of the Reopening Process, which means most mandatory COVID-19 regulations have been lifted.

While capacity limits and social distancing requirements at most businesses have been lifted, masks are required in all indoor public settings, regardless of vaccination status.

Effective January 3, 2022, any individual 5 years of age or older will be required to show proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to dine indoors, visit gyms, or enjoy entertainment venues where food or drink are being served.

Businesses are encouraged to go through the city's Self-Certification Process for reopening.
